ASSOCIATION LES AILES SOLIDAIRES : A JOURNEY TO THE HEART OF SOLIDARITY

Soar on a captivating human adventure with the association “Les Ailes Solidaires.” A pioneer in its field, this initiative commands respect as mutual aid, kindness, and solidarity define the commitment of all involved in this unprecedented Europe-Africa expedition. Inspired by his touching personal story, Mr. Georges LANDES, founder of the association, leads us on a journey filled with meaning and emotion.

It all starts with the poignant story of Mr. Georges LANDES, who left Gabon at a young age and returned decades later to meet his mother and discover his homeland. Hearing the distress call from the Ngomo mission in Lambaréné broadcast on RFI, Mr. Georges LANDES decided to act.

The association “Les Ailes Solidaires” was founded in 2020 with the mission of responding to this call while honoring the memory of Miss Odette PERRET, a prominent figure in its history.

The project takes shape three years later due to the COVID crisis, with the generous support of partners like Mr. Christian KERANGALL, Chairman of the Board of the SOGAFRIC Group, whose personal story is closely linked to that of Mr. Georges LANDES. Indeed, Mrs. Catherine MBA, who recently received a vehicle from TOYOTA GABON, played a key role in Mr. Georges LANDES’s story, helping his father take him to Alès, France, at the age of 15 months. Together, Georges LANDES and Christian KERANGALL are committed to uniting Europe and Africa through concrete and inspiring actions. At the heart of this movement is an initial fundraising project for the rehabilitation of the Ngomo mission in Lambaréné, a valuable witness to the history and heritage of the region and Gabon.

The 2024 season's journey promises to be rich in encounters and emotions, with stops planned in several European and African countries. Each stage is an opportunity to forge connections and promote solidarity and friendship between the two continents.
